Ocona River, Arequipa, Peru

The Ocoña River (Spanish: Río Ocoña) is a river located in the Arequipa region in southern Peru.

The Ocoña Valley, at low risk in very favorable conditions, because this river, which constitutes its main source of water supply, has a regular regime due to the large extension of its collecting basin and the incidence of snow-capped snow melting, whose contributions contribute to maintaining a high flow even in the dry season.

The Ocoña River is considered the third most important river on the Peruvian coast, following the Chira and Santa rivers.
