Kuang Si Falls, Luang Prabang

The Kuang Si Falls or Kuang Xi Falls, alternatively known as the Tat Kuang Si Waterfalls, is a three-tiered waterfall about 29 km (18 mi) south of Luang Prabang, Laos.

The waterfalls are a favorite side trip for tourists in Luang Prabang, and begin in shallow pools atop a steep hillside.

These lead to the main fall with a drop of 60 m (200 ft).

Bear Rescue Center. In collaboration with the Laos Department of Forestry, construction of the Tat Kuang Si Bear Rescue Centre in Luang Prabang began in 2003. Eventually three bear houses were built with a capacity for 25 rescued bears.
