Guatemala Worry Dolls.
Worry dolls (also named "trouble dolls"; Spanish Muñeca quitapena, "Doll remover of grief") are small, mostly hand-made dolls that originate from the highland indigenous people of Guatemala.

  • The sign says the following.
  • «GUATEMALA WORRY DOLL - There is a legend amongst the Highland Indian villages of Guatemala: "if you have a problem, then share it with a worry doll. Before going to bed, tell one worry to each doll, then place them beneath your pillow. Whilst you sleep, the dolls will take your worries away."»
  • In Santa Catarina Palopo these dolls are sold in groups of 4 dolls, each measuring 1 cm (0.4 in), inside small colored bags, suitable for placing under the pillow at night.
